Mask
The mask series is
comprised of photographs composed by
Winston Boyer. He works with only these two screen-mesh
masks, which were constructed and painted during the
early 1900's and used in French pantomime. He has taken
these masks and photographed them with a variety of props
in different lighting conditions. Mr. Boyer explores a variety
of psychological, mythological, religious, and artistic themes,
using the "mask" and its connotations as a central focus.
