I have always felt that San Francisco’s hilly cityscapes and Victorian architecture haves been a fantastic backdrop that create the dramatic tensions and compositions for a great series. The painters, Richard Diebenkorn and Wayne Thiebaud and the cinematography of Alfred Hitchcock’s Northern California film locations have captured this essence.
